Magical Mystery Media (Feb. 9, 2017): Podcast 54 - CONTACT? The Strange Case of Eduard “Billy” Meier

Do they really fly?

That’s the question UFO researchers have been trying to definitively answer for years with regards to the Billy Meier contactee case.  And, though several photos associated with the case have been later proven to be fraudulent, the final answer as to whether or not this indicates the WHOLE CASE is a hoax, has yet to be fully answered.

Many would disagree with this and say that, yes, it’s an obvious hoax.  Still others believe in the absolute truth of alien contact.  Either it’s totally real.  Or it’s totally fake.  These are the two extremes most people take when looking into the Meier case.  But could there possibly be another, even more mysterious, explanation? A third alternative that’s been overlooked?

We certainly think so.

Swiss Contactee Eduard A. “Billy” Meier

CONTACT, a 1978 documentary about Eduard A. “Billy” Meier, a one-armed Swiss farmer who, in January of 1975, claims to have made contact with a group of extraterrestrials from the Pleiades.  These alleged contacts continued until around October 1978.  In that time, Meier claimed to have over one-hundred face to face meetings with these beings, and accumulated hundreds of detailed photographs of their “beamships”, several reels of 8mm film footage, strange sound recordings, a metal sample, and produced thousands of pages of contactee notes.

In the film, Wendelle Stevens spearheads an investigation into these fantastic allegations, and brings along a small research team comprising of Britt and Lee Elders, and Thomas Welch.  Together they try to get to the bottom of what’s happening by analyzing all the evidence, interviewing Meier and other witness, and immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the Swiss Alps to get to the truth.
Watch it here:
This is the true story of the most remarkable UFO case ever recorded.  The investigation lasted over 5 years.  This film documents that investigation with the people who were actually involved.  The evidence speaks for itself.
It’s all so fantastic and ridiculous that it seems too good to be true.  But is it?
So, what are we to make of all of this.  Well, first of all, if you’re looking for definitive answers, forget it. Though this case may be one of the most documented in the history of Ufology, absolute proof (one way or the other) still eludes even the most dogged researchers.

But why?

Sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.  For what we have here is a likely mix of fact and fiction that raises more disturbing questions about what’s going on with the UFO phenomenon.  Are we being visited by aliens from outer space?  Or are we being manipulated to believe we’re being visited?

Join us, as we discuss these intriguing questions and try to get the real picture of what’s going on.

BMUFOR: Exposé of Billy Meier by his ex-wife Kalliope

Billy Meier and his now ex-wife, Kalliope Zafiriou; circa 1980

After Kalliope left Meier and his community in mid-1990's, Meier reportedly forbade her to give any information concerning the background of his “extraterrestrial experiences” to the Swiss writer, publicist, and journalist, Luc Bürgin. She of course, defied his orders and gave interviews to Luc Bürgin, and also to author and researcher Kal Korff and UFO researcher, Hans-Werner Peiniger.
Our sincere thanks to Hans-Werner Peiniger, President of GEP (Gesellschaft zur Erforschung des UFO-Phänomens/Society for the investigation of the UFO phenomenon) for sharing articles on Meier case from GEP’s in-house journal JUFOF (Journal für UFO-Forschung/Journal for UFO Investigation). Likewise, our sincere thanks also extends to the author Luc Bürgin and Waltraud Neher, Executive Assistant at Kopp Verlag (German non-fiction publisher), for sharing their UFO-Kurier articles.

Visit the BMUFOR article on - KALLIOPE ZAFIRIOU - for a brief summary of the information conveyed (or implied) by Kalliope during her interviews, distinguished by topics.

p.s: Billy Meier may be the most infamous hoaxer and plagiarizer, but UFO-Prophet takes this opportunity to wish Meier a very happy birthday. Meier was born on Febraury 3, 1937. Today he becomes an 80-year old man.
